Re: [DML] Re: Historic Blunders

The British Gov't did not confiscate the dies for the stainless steel
panels. They were sold to a Salmon fisherman as scrap metal by the Thyssen
GmbH & Co to recoup on the tremendous losses in encountered with DeLorean.

JZD went around on the talkshow circuit after his cocaine trial and said
that the British ruined the dies and threw them into the middle of Galloway
Bay. NOT TRUE.

THE DIES WERE MADE BY THREE DIFFERENT COMPANIES IN THE REPUBLIC OF
IRELAND AND GERMANY. THEY WERE THE PROPERTY OF THE COMPANIES NOT THE UK
GOVERNMENT OR DELOREAN MOTOR CO. LTD.
When DMC went bankrupt in February 1982 it had a very hard time paying
for the parts and supplies DMC owed to various leading automobile suppliers
like Vita Cortex Ltd. Vita Cortex made the seat cushions for the car. DMC
could not pay because is used up a $25,000,000.00 line of credit it had with
my company.
JZD used up DMC's available credit from the 25 million, in order to
increase production on the cars instead of paying the companies that DMC owed
for the parts and supplies. Renault was the hardest hit. The companies wanted
payment in some form or another, so it was not very happy to accept the
losses from DMC. Many companies went bankrupt supplying parts for the
DeLorean. These companies are still listed as creditors in the bankruptcy
suit. Thyssen GmbH & Co received an offer from fisherman for the dies and
accepted his offer.

STAINLESS STEEL- BSC Stainless steel is in Sheffield England. BSC built a
250 million dollar plant in Europe to provide stainless steel for
DeLorean and the rest of the market. BSC only made the steel, NOT THE
PANELS FOR THE DMC.

MOLDS FOR DMC BODY - The inner hood and the rear louvre molds, the front
fenders molds and the dies for the assembly of the outer hood were made by
THYSSEN MASCHINEBAU GmbH. This is a German Company. The fenders, outer
hood, louvre, and inner hood parts were stamped/fabricated at THYSSEN MASCH.
GmbH not at DMC. DMCL only assembled the hood assemblies at the factory. The
Fenders and Louvres' came in huge crates via Germany and Ireland to Belfast.

MOLDS FOR UPPER AND LOWER BODY PANELS were made by August Lapple GmbH
& Co. They are located in the Republic of Ireland. August Lapple is a German
company automobile tool and die company. It was started in 1919. Lapple
contracted with car companies in 1968 to supply automotive plastics. This
manufacturer made the VARI body molds. These molds are in the Columbus Ohio
Warehouse. These molds were used in the body press building at DMCL.

Dies for the inner and outer rear quarter panels were supplied by
ALLEGIARE- WERKE GmbH. George Allegiare established his company in 1906.
Allegiare became one of the most important German automobile suppliers to
the automotive industry.
These panels were not stamped at DMCL.

These companies supply all of the leading automobile companies in the common
market. Companies like GM, Ford, Chrysler, Mercedes Benz, BMW, Lotus, etc.,
etc.

DeLorean has a history of not telling the truth. There are 5-6 books written
about this.
