[DML] Re: Rear View Mirror Removal

As Patrick suggested, pull it downward.

I was able to do a little trick on my mirror that prevented me from
needing to re-glue it to the windshield. I have not seen this
mentioned on the DML before, but I've only been sparcely reading it
for the past 2 years. I rotated the mirror downward, then while
applying counter-pressure on the mount, I managed to "pop" it of of
the windshield mount. A new one should also be able to just "pop"
in. It requires a fair amount of pressure but I did it just fine.

This method is probably very beneficial to somebody who is having
problems getting the mirror to stick to the windshield. They can
detatch the windshield mount, stick it to the glass, and leave it
there for a few days while the tape takes ahold.

This is how I was able to adapt a GM autodimming mirror to the
original DeLorean mount. Popped off the original mirror.
Sacrificed it to the dremel. Dissassembled GM mirror ($10 from junk
yard, perfect shape). Removed steel GM mounting ball. Epoxied in
plastic socket from sacrificed DeLorean mirror. Popped new mirror
into original mount. It is likely necessary to remove the headliner
to cleanly wire it. Since mine had been off for 3 years at that
point, it was no problem. I have pictures somewhere if anyone is
interested.
