[DML] How to fix fading amber in rear turn signals?

Hello,

I'm sure most if not all of you know what I mean by this. On
many cars the amber part of the tail-lights fades to yellow or even
clear-white. I was just wondering if any of you have any great
solutions on how to make it amber again (short of buying new ones for
$120 each). Can you hit it lightly with spray paint from the
inside? Or would that block out the turn signal bulb by the time you
get enough paint on it to change the color...

Thanks,
Derek
