We have also been investigating a touch screen for a car.  I have not 
found a good one yet.  The only interesting one to check out was the one 
available in the Buick Rivera's in the 87-89.  The 89 had a touch screen 
that had very good visibility and did some very cool monitoring of the 
car and trip items.

Main drawback is that is was not color - only B & W. (actually green 
letters).   Interesting interface though.

We are looking at multiple TFTs or  multiple 2" Blue and white displays 
with Basic Stamps.  We already have one of these and they appear to be 
very good.  Just need more time.  Or more money so I can retire and play.
