Robert,

The early 3.5 liter version of the Rover V8 was essentially the same as 
the GM 215 aluminum V-8 because that is who Rover bought the engine 
producing equipment from

There was a turbo charged version of this engine produced in 1962-63 in 
Starfire oldsmobiles.  You occasionally see complete engines and parts 
for sale. It even came with water injection.  

If you are interested in putting one in a Delorean ,  I would talk to 
Turbocity,  they specialize in this engine and its modifications.
