Hi Martin,

Yes, the guys name is Tom ... actually I met him and his brother in HongKong 
about 5 years ago, when they were on Holiday. I think he was returning to 
live in Poland from Florida shortly after that.

The "Peasants' food" in Poland was bloody awful ... were you served the 
whole cow's tongue (my gut turned!) or the coffee with all the grind on top.

The "Noble Class' nosh" was something else though. We went to a fancy 
restaurant in an Art Nouveau building off the main Market Square in the 
centre of Krakou ... photos in lobby of Duke of Edin, Prince of Wales, etc 
eating there ... one waiter per person ... we had duck, wild game, wild 
boar, about 6 courses ... all for a Fiver each! Best value I've ever had!!!
