Cheers Martin, thats good to know (for when I get around to putting a 
new bulb in my idiot light). I remember when the light used to come on 
in Dave's DeLorean it would splutter immediately - it was a case of "ok 
you need fuel RIGHT NOW!" rather then "you've got another 30 miles 
before I conk out on you".
