Re: [doc] NEC.

Chris,

I didn't go to the AGM so I'm wondering what's happening at the end of May, beginning of June 2006.

Just wondered.

Dear list,

I'm just in the process of empting my last car with NEC stuff. I'll then
start on my briefcase fill if info and membership stuff.

It was in my opinion the BEST NEC show to date!  We again won a prize
for our superb stand.

I would like to thank all the members who put so much time and effort
(and money) into it.

I would like to especially mention,  in no particular order, John
Chapelhow, Paul Birks, Phill Wright, Andy Snell  and Glen Hale who were
there every  single day. They manned the stand, bought the tea and
coffee, spread the message to the punters etc. Neal Barclay never tied
of displaying his DeLorean employee's memorabilia to an endless list of
fascinated visitors.

Dave Howarth erected the superb stand, with the illuminated back drop
and Clair and Mary for looking after the regalia sales.

Then we had Phil Peters who not only hosted the now traditional Saturday
night meeting at his parents house, and then brought along his superb
JZD, ex Patrick collection manikin, who observed the events.... will
full approval I recon.

Glen, who begged and borrowed and set up the spectacular "DMC" logo
projected all over the stand and hall, as well as organising his friends
at the AA to attend to Chris Hawes belt repairs,  then keeping an eye on
Backy for me in the next hall.

So many other members showed up, from all parts of the county and
immediately set about talking to the hoards of visitors making them feel
very welcome, despite in some cases having there own share of domestic
difficulties.

We had a very friendly and constructive AGM where we discussed  club
business. Keep the end of May and the beginning of June 06 free in your
diaries!

And right at the end of the show, so many members stayed behind to help
Dave disassemble the stand.

I am proud of the lot of you, it's like having a "super extended
DeLorean family". My only problem was that I simply did not get around
to talking to everyone and I can't remember 500 names!

Well done everyone!!

(with sincerer apologies to all those individuals whom have contributed
so much, but whom I have not mentioned by name)

Best regards
Chris Parnham
