Re: [doc] Off topic

Mike,

Much as you seem to think that I bow down and pay homage to the
memory of Louis Renault every day, I did actually take the decision
to be open minded about what convertibles to consider when I sell my
house - I tried an E36 BMW as it was on my list of cars that I liked
the look of.

I, personally, wasnt as impressed with it as I thought I would be, so
have taken the decision that that car is not for me - I'm not telling
people they are rubbish and shouldnt buy one, as at the end of the
day it is down to personal taste and preferences.

At the end of the day, all I wanted was abit of advice from anyone
out there who had experience of 4 seater convertibles, not to get
into another long drawn out off topic discussion about BMW E36's.  :-)

And I dont particularly dislike BMW's in general, because the
previous 5 and 7 series cars were fine machines, plus I did own a BMW
many years ago too! :o)

Thank you for your enthusiastic input Mike, however for me, the
subject is closed.

I have decided to whittle my choice down to either a Saab 900SE or a
Vauxhall Astra (unless anyones got any other suggestions?)
