[doc] Re: faulty ecu help?

hi

thankyou for the advice. Martin has said that he can check and
replace with a recon one.

i need to check the wiring to it first and the ground next to.

however do i take it the this ecu is powering up the idle motor and
telling it to go lean/rich?
i had the engine running for 30 seconds, car was about to stall then
removed plug to motor and engine slowly recovered to 1800 rpm and
sat there. just wondered why would this happen? there is no return
spring or something in the idle motor is there?. would it not stay
at the same position either open or closed.?

i need to move the car 2 miles (to a rented garage), i assume it is
ok to drive but just have this high idle?.

regards

Steve
