I have Just received my Delorean from the states, My shippers told me to get a letter typed up to back-up the claim the Delorean was made in ireland, Chris Parnham done this for me, all I got charged was just a £50 flat rate, Many thanks Chris P !!! I was concerned when they done away with the %5 BTI....but now it worked out even better than the %5, GREAT!!

Would also like to thank Phil Abrahat for all his help in pointing me in the right direction with the shippers etc Cheers phil, I tell you guys this, it was so easy importing, my shippers sorted out everything, they sorted all correspondance with my seller and the the new york port...I done nothing at all.

  a mate of mine was just about to import a 50's split screen vw camper and 
  was told by customs it wasn't considered special enough - due to recent 
  changes he'd be looking at it being treated as a normal second hand car 
  subject to VAT and an additional 10% on top of the shipping - Despite it 
  being a classic.

  Same could apply for D's too even when they do reach 25yrs old!
