Hi Martin

thanx for the info.

when i removed the accumulator i undid the nut? at the end of the
steel line, not the one onto the accumulator.

the old one did give a bit in its clamp (perhaps because of the
rubber sleeve) and i need need a lot of force on the end of the
spanner.can't see a kink but i thought could be one the other side
of the chassis hole.
i can only feel and obviously can feel a bend but pretty impossible
to confirm a kink. strnage that it would always start cold run
rough, but could keep revs at 2000 ish then without accelerator
would slow then stutter, bit of engine shake, then stall. would not
restart for a hour or so.

but since new accumulator, will not start..
tried last night, it did cough once but did not start. fully charged
battery. have pushed relays home.
only other thing i could think of, a relay damaged on removal. ie
the rpm relay. is this a normal bosch as i have lots of them.

i take it the relay marked fuel (lambda). would not actually need to
be powered up untill the engine warms? and lambda system takes
over??.

another point-don't laugh but only about a gallon in the tank. at
what level does the car not like it?? has a specialtauto fuel
unpdate (tank filter etc.). also new tank, pump, filter line to fuel
distributor. was going to check the earth at the front frame (the
one to the pump??)

if i was close i'd book in for diagnostics but live a distance away

a place a few miles away can check pressures etc (bosch specialist)
but i don't really trust anyone non delorean minded with the car
