My local garage taped up my (then) US spec lamps for the MOT and passed it
without a murmur.  Don't know about the crack tho...

  I am still awaiting my new UK headlamps but want to get the car
  through the MOT this week

  has anyone used successfully taped their lights for the MOT?
  One of my lights lenses is cracked...is this an mot failiure?
  If so does anyone have a cheap us spec light passenger side that i
  could buy/borrow to bodge through the mot untill my new lights arrive!
