Windscreen Surrond Painting/General Waffel

I haven't posted for ages but I am still reading.

I have to comment on the repainting of the windscreen surround as I
recently decided to undertake this myself, however wanting to stand
out from the crowd I thought I would do something a bit different.

Instead I removed the paint carefully and grained the shinny
aluminum underneath using very fine wet and dry paper and a scotch
brite pad, I was very pleased with the result.
The surround is now much more in keeping with the rest of the cars
body and of course I could paint it tomorrow if I wanted that
authentic look.

I am finding it increasingly hard to stay unique from the other
DeLoreans in the UK as people have slowly followed suit (it's not
easy being a trend setter ;-).

Now I find my remote starter, stainless air box, brushed window
surround and neon under car lights are becoming common place.
So at the weekend I cleared Motor Mania of all 6 remaining strobe
lights with are slowly being mounted under the car and finally
finished sculpting a rear wing for the car which is now installed.

Hopefully I will be able to take it to some of the shows again this
year (if there are any still to come) I also have some other visual
modifications I am working on (naturally all reversible).

Anyway I think a Diesel Center day in October sounds likely as I
need my TABs changing, belts etc.. perhaps some of us could arrange
a date for the meeting. Also if I am going to order Toby Tabs from
the states etc.. perhaps some other people may also want bits'n'bobs
in the same package.

Regards

James RG

P.S. Chris.P I received some money for the bleeder kit, I am going
to get the bit's n bobs this week and stick them together. Also can
you let me know the power gains with the new exhaust system as I am
interested in having one installed later this year on my auto.
