RE: [doc] Misfire Under Accelaration???......

I was just about to suggest the good old fuel pick up hose as the cause
of your woes, but since you replaced it...
But I'll make no assumptions - the fuel pick up hose is the one shaped
like a question mark, it connects the bottom of the pump to the fuel
pickup filter.
If you've replaced it, make sure you haven't put a kink in it when you
refitted the fuel pump. Also be careful not to rotate the fuel pump as
you fit it back - this also puts a kink in the hose.

A noisy pump can be symptoms of a blocked fuel line, this can be supply
or return. OR daft as it may sound, a lack of petrol in the tank. Go
fill it up.

Have you replaced your fuel filter? They're about 11 quid. I had the
same problem caused by a blocked return line, in the end I chucked a
bottle of injector cleaner in the tank and that fixed it. Some would
argue however that you can dislodge crud from the pipes and risk
blocking something else up......

Misfiring over 3000... has it always done this? Fuel restriction could
be one cause. Bad timing another...
