Chris,

Being a tight fisted Welshman and all I am a bit cautious. And as you say,
he does seem cagey by the lack of info he's offered so far. But I would
never buy anything unseen by my own eyes.

Just in one day the other Suday at your get together i learnt a vast ammount
of what to look out for when vewing a car.

But in a few week I will be passing a few miles from his place - so it's no
great loss on my part if it turn's out to be a complete dog!

Be interesting anyway just to see what kinds of cars are available out
there.

If finances were better i wouldn't even contemplate importing one and would
simply whip Frenchie off you hands before you could say flux capacitor!

If I was trying to sell a car, I would be fulsome in my words and pictures,
If he is reluctant, he may have something to hide!

 When I bought Frenchy off eBay, the blokes info on its engine dried up, a
bit like the engine when I got it home!

If in doubt, walk away. Always s assume the worst, you will probably be
right.

Well gents, after some days the owner of the vehicle in  question replied
and says i quote "the body is next to perfect. with 15000 mi on it. new fuel
pump and filter." Does not give much away.

The vin number is :-scedt26tgbd001953, can anyone tell me anything about the
model from this?

Also as quoted previously - the automatic transmission has been removed from
the vehicle. In anyone's experience - does this mean that the engine has ben
removed as well? and if not could it be considered as a rolling body?

Any help would be gratefully received.

Finally - the transcar web site link does not seem to be working. Does
anyone know if their address has been changed by any chance.
