Agreed - it sounds like your problem is bad shocks, not springs. The
front shocks are a breeze to replace, no clamping or cussing involved.
You can swap the front shocks and be driving again in less than an hour.
The rears are more involved, but if you buy the clamshell spring clamp
from Harbor Freight it goes from a severe pain in the a$$ to just a
moderately annoying proposition.
