Daryl,
I strongly disagree with this advice on a safety basis. The DeLorean jack is
not very stable and if it tipped could cause serious injury. A professional
mechanics jack would be safer but I don?t even recommend that. A scissor
type, Lincoln is the brand we use, is the preferred method to safely
compress the rear springs. I can only hope you didn?t run out immediately to
try that advice and are laying half pinned under your vehicle as this is
posted! Sorry Byrne but I just can?t agree with this. Please don?t take it
personally. While it may work for you I don?t think it?s worth the risk
IMHO.
