What I called "air adjustment screws" = what you called "bypass screws."
They're tight, but not too tight, since they're only brass and I didn't
want to damage anything.
Someone had also adjusted the throttle striker screw (the one below the
microswitch screw) to where the throttle plates were not quite closing
like they should. I fixed that this morning.
The car now idles at 950rpm. That's fine with me, since the steering
wheel begins to shake below that speed. And it doesn't die when I turn
the A/C on so I think I'm done with my adjustments. :) I will check the
O-rings over the holidays.
Speaking of which: happy holidays, gang! And thanks again to all who
