[DML] Dominos Delorean

 HI all, I'm Jack and new to the list as of about 2 minutes ago. I live 
in Kokomo Indiana and about 5 years ago there was a Delorean with a 
really bad,what looked to be red, white, and blue house paint, painted 
Delorean for sale. I stopped and asked about it thinking I might be 
able to get a decent deal on it, strip it back down to the stainless, 
clean it up and either keep it or try and sell it and make a little 
something off it. Anyway, the owner acted like since the car had 
belonged to the owner of Dominos Pizza (hence the red, white and blue 
paint) at one time that is was actually worth something more. I'll 
admit I'm not into celebrity autographs or anything but I seriously 
doubt that Dominos Pizza guy memorabilia is worth anything. I believe 
they wanted $12,000 for it back then which was about $3-4,000 more than 
I thought it was worth as it needed a lot of cleanup plus the bad 
paint.  I was just wondering if anyone knew of what happened to that 
car and if the horrible paint was stripped off or not. I can't describe 
how bad it looked, I wish I would've taken a pic of it.  Had I worked 
out a deal I would've taken it home to my garage and not let anyone see 
it until the paint was off, it would've been that embarrassing. Yo 
would've had to see it to believe it. I hope the owner is on this list 
and can give me an update to how nice and shiny the stainless was 
underneath all that paint. My goal is to have a Delorean within 6 
months from now, I have most of the money saved up now and have begun 
looking already for a car so hopefully next year I can start meeting at 
some of the dmc meets. Until then........
