[DML] I think my fuel pump is shot. Your thoughts please!

I just tried to start my 81 DeLorean (Automatic) that has been in the 
garage all winter and it won't kick over.  The battery is fully charged 
and it acts like it isn't getting any gas.  I tried putting a small 
amount of gas into the carburetor and it will start only for the few 
seconds that the gas ignites then it dies again.  I think this is a fuel 
pump problem but I wanted to run it past you guys just to make sure I'm 
right.  Thanks for any help and information you can give me.
