Okay, what makes this slightly stranger is the car went to the UAE and
spent its first 5 years in Dubai. I have no reason to believe it was
ever modified. It hadn't moved since 1987 in its garage in France until
3 weeks ago when we trailered it back

Were Jan 82 cars still being fittted with fender a antenna ?
