Google "horsepower ratings".  Then when the results appear, select the
one titled,  "Horsepower: Gross vs. Real-World".  Interesting article
and you'll note some very interesting comments upon what can account
for the "loss" of HP between advertised and WHP.

Sorry - not literate enough for tiny urls!   But, this article
(Edmunds) is worth the effort.
