That's pretty much what I meant so I will save time in reply with my own
words. :)

It would take a major shift in thinking and understanding for anything like
this to make it to market.

You're arguing against Greg's prediction of difficulty as though he 
doesn't understand your premise.  I read it as cynical Devil's advocacy.

It would be almost poetic that if someone were to actually figure out 
free energy, the public would be so tired of the scams that they refuse 
to even give it a first look, and its inventor dies penniless and insane.
