[DMCForum] Re: Steering rack boots: Lube for replacement?



Oh, I always thought there was some kind of lubrication inside of the
boots.

The boots on 16851 are a bit cracked on the top outer corners, so I
had pumped some grease into them to keep things lubricated since they
were a bit exposed to the elements.

Is it a good or bad idea to have any grease in there when I install
new booties?
