Confession time:

A coworker of mine was wearing a Starfleet uniform for Halloween. His
wife and daughter were wearing them, too.

I was jealous. I mean, we joke about how incredibly geeky and,
perhaps, mentally disturbed someone must be to not only own but -
*gasp* - wear such a uniform in public. But there he was, wearing a
Starfleet uniform, and I'm going, "Man, I wish I were wearing one.
Where'd you get that?" You know, honestly considering the idea that I
could buy one for myself. And of course, imagining how nice my own
wife would look in one - not that I'd ever get one on her. Not even
after a dozen beers.
