I have to add my 2c to Mike's post.  I have to perform the same "fire-
drill"  with the "Fan Fix"  but I usually  have to disconnect the relay
from its connections to get the fans to shut off and leave it
disconnected until I want to restart the car. 

I notice, too, that when I touch the relay it's extremely hot. 
Frighteningly hot.  Without naming names, I was told by another D
owner that he knew about a "fan fix" that nearly started a fire in
someone's relay compartment.   And I can see where that could
happen with that much heat building in such a confined space. 

If I had to do it again, I wouldn't buy one.
