This group has always asked that people not engage in religious and
political discussion. The only difference now is that it's being
enforced.

We are not moderating posts like the DML. All posts are sent to the
list immediately, so nothing is or can be censored. However, for the
good of the forum as a whole, we will from time to time steer
conversations in a more positive direction and occasionally end a
particular discussion. We are concerned only with the type of fighting
and bickering that causes massive unsubscriptions from the list.
Otherwise, the list remains unchanged, and you are welcome to post
virtually anything you like.

We do NOT want to be another DML, and I do not believe we will ever go
down that road. However, this forum can't grow without some basic,
enforcable rules.

I understand you and I have clashed in the past, and that is probably
a point of concern for you. Rest assured that I will do my very best
to be completely impartial in all of my decisions as a moderator. If
you ever feel you are being singled out or treated unfairly, you have
every right to email us and voice your concerns. That goes for
everyone here. If I participate in unfair treatment of this community
the others will remove my moderator privileges - and as well they
should.
