[DMCForum] Re: Village Idiot Returns -- I'm Still Here

The moniker doesn't phase me. Is actually somewhat amusing -- I've
never understood why so many people think they have a stake in my
transportation choices. Or where my reputation as a mechanical menace
came from (I *DO* manage to keep a fleet of vintage vehicles on the
road as daily transportation, on subsistence wages no less -- I'm
among a select group of owners who did not sell their DeLoreans as
soon as they lost their jobs). Of course very few people in this world
think as I do, and I harbor no delusions that anything I say or do
will influence others, but I'll be damned if I'm going to keep quiet
or hide what I do as if it were something to be ashamed of.

BTW: I think Martin coined the nickname, not
Greg/Gary/Endotex/Jetjock/A310/etc. Search the archive for "playing
with something shiny", if memory serves.

Last week I was lamenting the little GM 151 in my AMC. This week it
looks pretty darn good. 21 gallon gas tank is a welcome feature too.
Think the Lincolns will remain out of service a while longer...
