RE: [DMCForum] Re: DMCH Reproduction headlight switch

This is a weird theory of mine,
but I think that the need for the headlight switch has come and gone.
I will explain....
I believe the cause of the headlight switch meltdowns out there happend
because
the owner might have changed his head lights, and maybe added some super
bright
running lights, or maybe had a bit of a short in the tail light boards.
All these things increased the juice running through the switch and exceeded
it's
strength. In recent years, most of us have been forced to fix our tail light
boards,
(I have PJ Grady's and they are worth every cent!)
Also, the headlights being made today are much more effecient.
They put out more light on less juice.
We also have all installed new high power alternators which put less strain
onthe
batteries and supply the car with more than enough voltage.

Anyway, it seems that no one lately has really needed a headlight switch.
People are just buying them "just in case".

I think that DMCH should have just made the damned things instead of putting
all the demand on all of us and making those who have paid wait forever for
the switch.
Just make them and sell them, and if they don't sell them as quick as they
want they can
consider it a contribution to the community.
I am sure that ever new DeLorean they build would get one.
