I thought you were fairly close to Toby Petersen?

Subject: [DMCForum] Tuning the PRV

Hi folks,

Is anyone willing to "hold my hand", so to speak, for awhile?

I need to learn how to tune & adjust the various parameters of my
engine. It runs poorly; "glug glugs" on deceleration, is a little bit
rough, etc. The problem is, I have absolutely no idea where to start.
I've heard I need some sort of fuel system pressure testing rig, etc,
but the real problem is I don't understand the engine & fuel system.
Therefore, any advice I get, I'm unsure how or why to implement.

Can anyone help? Where do I get started? What do I test and how do I
test it and what am I looking for in the test results?

I have a timing light, brand new, never used it because I don't know
how. ;-) If I lived anywhere near a trustworthy shop this wouldn't be
an issue. I'd just drop it off and let them fix it. But I'm on my own
here, so I'm going to have to learn, and you folks are my only
resource. I have no problem buying more tools, reading books, whatever
you think will help. The end goal is just a well tuned engine.

Thank you.

-Ryan
