Actually a carbureted angle drive (if such existed) would never tear
up in the first place. Would be the single most reliable piece of
equipment on the car. Least expensive too. And it certainly wouldn't
be in the way of anything else. Would be so innocuous that owners of
such would scratch their heads in bewilderment as other owners
continue to struggle with their non-carbureted angle drives rather
than simply converting over and being done with it.

But alas, angle drives do not have such attributes.

At least there's one piece of equipment on my car that does (key word
in that sentence is "one" -- carburetors are completely self
contained, needing none of the plethora of devices necessary for K
Jetronic).

But surely I've mentioned that before...
