IF there is a body shell left, it would probably go with it & the title
to the junkyard.  You could also keep it as a memento, etc.  There isn't
any set thing people do with them.  It's up to the individual.

Dave,

After someone finishes parting out the car, what do they do with VIN 
plates? If you can't transfer them over to another car then do they 
throw them away?
