[DMCForum] Re: Seat Options

Jon,
I just had mine re-covered in a leather look a like vinyl by a friend of mine who
does upholstery work as a hobby.

I'm not a fan of the OEM wrinkled leather look so I went this route (also cheaper
than DMCH's). My guy also put about a half inch scrim (padding) on the back side
of the vinyl so my seats are a little more soft than previous.

All though Joe says upholstery shops are yuck, he told me he liked my seats when
we went to pick them up.

Maybe people are too PC & afraid to hurt my feelings but all other D owners who
saw my seats say they like them.

Subject: Seat Options

Hi guys, the seats in my car are badly worn and i'm
wondering what my options are in "redoing" them?
Recovering? Complete replacements?  What do you think
gives the best results as far as looks and comfort go?
Thanks!

Jon
