RE: [DMCForum] Value of VIN 16118, ebay 928 mile? car NEED ADVICE

I gotta agree here, and mention Ken's former 170 mile car.  He had that
advertised for $28k, right?  From what you described, Mike, this one doesn't
sound close to Ken's.  If pictures of the 170 mile car are still on the net
you could use that as an argument to negotiate a lower price.

With modifications, bent hooks, and damaged seats....
I would doubt it is a 928 mile car.

If the car was never driven, why would someone install
an extra switch? or thermostat?

Methinks $26,000 may be too much.  I would not pay
that much for any DeLorean, unless it was
"refurbished" (as per the description by James on the
DML), or a car that was never driven and properly
stored for the past 25 years..  and this sounds more
like a car that was used with a broken spedo.

.... It is a 16000 vin.  Does it have 1981 or 1982
tail pipes??
