[DMCForum] Eagle Premier PRV.

I still have my eye on a bigger engine swap. But I am curious if
anyone has any info on swapping out the Eagle Premier motor. The
reason I ask, is because I REALLY want to get my car back onto the
road, and my local junkyard has one in stock for $150. '89 (with
distributior), 32K miles, and all above 160psi on the compression
test.

I know that I can get it to physicly mount into the car with no
problems. However, all I'm looking for is a "quick 'n dirty" engine
swap. For now, I'd like to retain as much of my stock fuel injection
as possible. But I don't have any good photos/measurements to answer
my questions:

Will the K-Jet manifold mount to this motor? From the pictures that
I've seen, it just looks to me that the bungs need to be drilled out
to mount the fuel injectors.

And I know that the mechanical distributor is fixed, so that the
ignition cannot be adjusted. But I still don't see why one couldn't
simply saw out some grooves in the distributor case, to allow it to
rotate slightly, and adjust the ignition timing. Is something like
this possible too?
