RE: [DMCForum] gas prices...

Actually, SUV sales have dropped which is part of the reason GM and Ford
were recently listed as junk.  Oddly enough, bigger doesn't always mean
worse gas mileage.  My new full-size truck with a V8 gets several more miles
to the gallon than my other, smaller 4-cylinder truck.  In addition, I drove
the smaller truck much more reserved than the new one, which I tend to drive
like a race car. ;)

The evening news also said that most people blame the
president for high gas prices, and had some statistic
(like 64%) of people who think the president's policy
is to blame for it and he is not doing enough to get
the prices under control.

Yet, people are still buying SUV's...  Sending the
message that gas prices are not a serious problem to
the average person.

And the oil companies continue to break profit
records.

Where is the incentive for anyone who can do
something, to do something about the price of gas?
