Bill -- I converted (err, paid a shop to convert) my first Fiero to
134-A and never had a problem with it. It was nice and cold. Others
who converted theirs always complained about it not cooling as well as
R-12. I think the difference is like you said, "a system designed for
it." Most of my system was replaced, including the compressor, with
parts designed for 134-A.

I wouldn't mind doing the same on my DeLorean, but I don't want some
random shop doing the work and don't know how to do it myself. Maybe,
if I get into your neck of the woods some day, we can have a chat
about that... ;)
