[DMCForum] A/C squealing

>From time to time, I get a terrible squealing noise from the engine
compartment when the A/C comes on or cycles. If I turn the A/C off and
back on, the problem goes away (until next time). I'm 99% sure it's
the belt squealing like mad, so am guessing something is slowly going
bad with my A/C compressor or clutch. It works great most of the time,
this is only an occasional problem (driving almost daily with the AC,
I'm seeing it about once a week now).

Any ideas?

I did replace the belt a month or two ago and never had the problem
before this. Is it possible I made it too tight?
