I'm glad I'm not the only stickler for that.

I also love the word "pre-owned". They're too
image-conscious to say "used" and too lazy to say
"previously owned", so they take the prefix "pre" and
misuse it.

If something happens before dawn, it's pre-dawn. If
something happens before the afternoon, it's
pre-prandial. So technically, a pre-owned car is one
that has never been owned before. Therefore it's a new
car.

But they just don't get it.
