It takes a lot of know-how and effort.

Honestly, the best way is to just replace the engine with something more
powerful.  You can easily build a 400hp Buick V6 for the D.  Marc is working
on a Chrysler V6 swap, and I'm working on a parts-bin turbo PRV as well.

All are options, but none are easy.
