RE: [DMCForum] Re: Going keyless (push-button start) - Ryan...

Ryan,

I don't remember seeing that but would like to know more about it.  Putting
a start button there wouldn't be that difficult at all.

If you find out more, please let me know.

Greg

Greg, Andrei -

That's not what I was looking for. There was a post on the DML at
least 6-8 months back about someone who put a start button physically
in place of the ignition switch. I was hoping to find out where he got
the button, for ease of fit.

Actually I have more experience with automotive electrical than most.
My question wasn't in "how" to do this, but where to find that
specific button, and whether a relay was needed (I was concerned about
the amount of current running through the switch -- When I hooked up
the remote start on my alarm system, the specs called for an external
relay).

Now that I think about it, I could just tap a momentary switch into
that same relay. Hmph. ;)

Thanks for the replies.
