My former Renault Z7V basically was B27 (E Series).

Staying in the PRV family means an easy mate to the transmission --
especially critical because we don't have the luxury of custom
driveshafts to compensate for radical changes in engine/transmission
dimensions.

I think a carbureted B280 would be fun. Manifold looks easily
modifiable. K Jetronic is unfortunately not really adaptable to a carb
(that U pipe contraption in somebody's photo album would not clear the
engine cover, and looks to interfere with the rear header panel as well).
