[DMCForum] first impressions of Delorean

In 1979 I saw a write up in Car and Driver about the new Delorean 
that was coming out, so in '81 when Royal Oldsmobile in Birminghan 
got one in I went to check it out. Six months later I saw one in the 
paper for sale with only 10,000 miles on it, I gave the man $14,000 
for it he had paid $26,000. This was an '81 and had lots of issues, 
I have owned this car since early "82 have put several thousand 
dollars into it and lots of labor, I have like all Delorean owners 
became pretty dang good at fixing it, I loved the first one I ever 
saw and after all these years I still love my car, and with great 
pride I will add I have a very good one, all upgrades plus one no 
one else seems to have a true dual exhaust that I had made in 
late '82 and just recently had redone.The car is a real pain in the 
ass and the pocket book but all of the true Delorean owners love 
this silver beast
