RE: [DMCForum] Re: the original asshat...

Ah, this was back in the day when we were bashing people.  Wait... never
mind.

Anyway, this guy was in middle Tennessee and had bought three De Loreans
from an estate sale.  Two were nice, running cars and one was a pile of
parts on a rolling frame.  Two other people and I helped this guy a lot in
getting the other two running right so he could sell them.  We later found
out he had promised the third parts car to more than one of us.

He promised I would have first refusal rights, well, he promised that to all
of us really.  He later put it on eBay, but still told me if I wanted it he
would just end the auction.  When I stated I wanted it, he said he had to
pay more business tax than he thought and, unfortunately, would have to
leave the car on eBay to get as much as he could.  Later I found out he had
promised the same to other people, and apparently didn't know the people who
he had promised the car to were all working together to help him out.  So,
he profited greatly from us and screwed all of us.  No one heard who bought
the car or where it went.  You can probably search the DML archives for
something like "sad Delorean on eBay".

To make a long story just a bit longer, I posted on the DML for "buyer
beware" and he retaliated with some bullshit that he was sorry I couldn't
afford it.  The car ended up selling on eBay for about $3,000.00 believe it
or not.

I just posted three pictures of the car in the photo section and you can
clearly see this is the same driver's side fender.

Actually I don't, who is this guy. I see he is supposedly in Oak
Harbor which is like 20 minutes away from me. Is there some stigma
with this guy?

Almost makes me want to buy these fenders just to use them to drive
to a tech session to horrify everyone with the worst fenders ever,
tell everyonw I got caught in a hail storm. Looks like they were
crumpled up, and he beat them flat with a hammer. Aside from a
destroyed fender, this has got to be the worst.
