[DMCForum] My view on Abortion.

Hi lads,

I for one am completely against abortion at any stage of pregnancy.

I am not against stem cell research, as I think it is necessary for
finding cures to paralysis, alzheimers, etc. So, I do not have a
problem with testing done on stem cells that were created in a petri
dish.

I am dead set against a fertilised egg in a womans womb being
interfered with, from the moment it is fertilised. I don't know how
these women/couples live with themselves if they have an abortion
just because the pregnancy is inconvenient for them. Of course some
post abortion women realise later what they have done, get depression
and kill themselves, another tragic waste of life.

Abortion is no solution. And the argument that its a womans body and
she can do what she chooses with it is complete rubbish.

BTW just to clarify my opinions on abortion have absolutely nothing
to do with any God or religion.

Money should be spent on educating kids in school of how easy it is
to become pregnant, and that if they do, how to live up to their
responsibilities. If they do not want to have a child in their life,
they should at least take as good care as possible of the child
during the pregnancy and afterwards give it up for adoption.

Ireland is a country where any kind of abortion is illegal, yet
couples who cannot have kids have a very hard time adopting a child,
and often end up adoption a child from another country, Russia,
China, Nigeria, etc. I don't know why they have a hard time finding
an Irish kid, maybe not many of them are put up for adoption, who
knows. Must look into this. Anyway, I'm proud to say that no
abortions are performed here. Some women do travel abroad to have an
abortion, which obviously we cannot control, but at least they are
not doing it in my name.

You can ask any "what if" questions like "what if someone was raped"
or what if this or that happened - in every case, I'm completely
against abortion.

If I was an American Citizen, getting ready to vote last week, which
candidate would have been closest to my views on abortion?

Thanks,
John
