Your statement is a "Slippery Slope" fallacy.

The Republican spin? Kerry's own statements discredited him. He'd say
one thing, and a few months later turn around and say something
completely different. He made dozens of comments directly
contridicting himself. This was not "spin". This was a man who had no
idea where he really stood.
