I'm not sure where Dave gets his view of "liberal ideals" anyway. 
According to history, liberals are the ones who fought for civil rights, 
the 40-hour workweek, and a bunch of other good things. I guess people 
who don't like liberals want to shove all the black people back into 
little outhouses and work as many hours as their boss says they need to. 
Dave's definition of "liberal ideals" would seem to be exactly the same 
as his own: call somebody a name, ignore facts, and present your own 
version of the world loudly enough so that people may believe it is true.
