RE: [DMCForum] Re: Platinum Plugs

Do they still make Motorcraft plugs?  I just changed out the original plugs
on my '86 Mercury last March, and only because they were rusting pretty
badly on the flats outside.  They were 18 years old with 140,000 miles on
them and still looked absolutely fine.  (That just amazes me, but I have
every reciept since new and it has never had a tune-up nor plugs.)

I saved them, and Juley said she's going to make some kind of 'miracle spark
plug' display for them.  Ya' gotta love a girl who thinks like that.

I routinely got
40,000 miles on a set of platinum plugs.  I would replace them
eventually just because I felt guilty for leaving them in for so
long, although they usually looked fine.
