[DMCForum] Re: Marc got a job.

Hey Mike,
A few reasons...
1. The Great Outdoors - I've been in 42 states in America, and drove
to each one of these with the exception of Hawaii. There is nothing
better than being on the open road in America and exploring some of
the amazing landscapes you guys have over there, such as Monument
Valley, Bryce Canyon, etc.
2. Cars - I don't care what anyone says, American cars are the best!
I love the 60's American Muscle cars, and there are some pretty cool
new cars over there too, Corvettes, Viper, DeLoreans, etc.
3. People - Americans are really cool people, don't listen to the
media if they say everyone is pissed off at Americans, what do they
know. Americans are always welcome and liked in Ireland anyway, I
can't speak for other countries.
4. Standard of living - For the same job, American companies pay much
more than Irish ones. Also, your wages go further in America than
here in Dublin. Your houses are a lot more affordable, and cars are
much cheaper to run, leaving more money over for fun stuff.
5. America has much better weather than Ireland!
6. There is always something fun to do in America, I don't ever
remember being bored in my time over there, I could go to a drive in
movie, go to Six Flags, drive up to NH and rent a speedboat, go
skydiving, etc. Its just great fun living over there!

Is that enough? I could probably think of a lot more reasons why I'd
like to live there.

Thanks,
John
